A Guided Meditation
I recently recorded my guided meditation Making Kites Fly. Here it is, I hope you like it:
Written Meditation
It is important to be loose for kite flying so before getting into bed do 4 star into falling star poses. Now,
- Get into bed
- Close your eyes
- Take three deep breaths
The wind is blowing fast and you know it is the perfect time to take your kite out. You love flying your kite because you get to play outside and hold the really, really long string, so long that it is taller than you.
Flying a kite is awesome because you can fly it with someone or fly it by yourself. It is a fun activity to do.
You can’t fly a kite when it is raining because the rain pushes it down. You want to fly a kite when it is sunny and the wind comes in because without the wind, you have to run to make it fly. It can fly so high that it gets caught in a tree. It can fly as high as the birds but be careful that it doesn’t fly into space where an alien can come and catch it.
Before you take off running to get your kite in the air, you look down and see all of the different color hexagon shaped flowers that are yellow, blue, green, and red.
Take three more deep breaths and when you are done, you are ready:
- Grab your kite.
- Hold your string and the handle.
- Pull some string so it has room to lift off.
- Have air (wind) like a big fan blowing.
- Take off running!
- Let the wind lift up your kite.
- It will fly high!
It looks beautiful flying in the air with it’s pink, green, and blue colors with the tail dancing in the wind like it is in a dance party. The clouds are moving from the strong, strong wind today and you notice one of the clouds looks like an elephant and a tiger.
When the wind slows down and don’t have enough to fly your kite anymore, you twirl your string back up and go inside. So for now, get some rest, and dream of flying your kite tomorrow. Maybe they’ll be enough wind to fly again.
The end.
Fletcher wrote this kite guided meditation after flying his kite made with a Kiwi Co crate. Fletcher has a blast flying all kites, big or small, and seeing them dance through the wind.
