This is a guided meditation about a water creek by Fletcher Lee Johnson.
Think about what kind of animals you see at the creek. You might see a fish or a turtle. Get ready to go down to the creek by doing:
- Fish pose
- Turtle pose
Now,
- Get into bed
- Close your eyes
- Stretch your legs out
- Take six deep breaths
Wear your sandals that water can sneak into through the little holes and tickle your feet like they are taking a shower.
It takes a while to walk down to the water so you look around at all the things around you – long grass, edges of rocks, fallen leaves.
When you get there, you jump into the water! You like playing in your creek, splashing in the water, and making water drops fly.
Giant trees with a lot of bark on them are blocking the sun making it shady and cold by the creek. The water is cold too.
You can see through the water and see the rocks, especially with the sunlight shining through the trees. You can’t see through rocks, though. You can only see through water. The sunlight always helps create reflections on the water. Reflections copy what you do. You can see yourself in reflections and you can also see things around the water like trees.
Water’s fun.
Birds are flying around and you can hear them chirping and you hear water pushing itself making little waterfalls. It is so beautiful. Take six deep breaths while listening to everything around you.
Throwing rocks in the water makes ripples like tiny waves in the shape of circles. You like any size rock and any shape but look closely at the rocks, you might find fossils, crystals, or snakes.
You sit down on the hard ground that pushes out into the water, break off a branch from a fallen tree, and draw yourself in the mud. Then take a rest and after your rest, you’ll keep exploring and look at new stuff that you’ve never seen.
That’s it.
